Swiss photographer Max Kellenberger's expressive photographs use texture, light and shadow to convey emotions in intimate images. Simple everyday scenes viewed through Kellenberger's lens become melancholy, personal stories. Kellenberger has been exhibiting his work throughout Europe and the United States since 1972. He began his career as a photojournalist, and, since moving to the United States in 1991, has focused exclusively on fine-art photography.
Born in Eibar, in the Basque region of Spain, Unai San Martin studied at Morley College in London and Pratt Institute in New York. He is a master printer in the photogravure process, a rarefied 19th Century technique that is perfect match for his shadowy landscape images. In 2005 he won the prestigious "Villa de Madrid" prize and in 2002 the Premio Nacional de Grabado in Madrid in addition to awards from Joan Miro Foundation in Mallorca, Spain. San Martin's work is exhibited internationally. He lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area..
